Questions about our Portuguese Language Course

No — you can obtain a D7, D8, D2, or Golden Visa without any Portuguese. But you will need A2-level Portuguese for citizenship (and it's now paired with a civic knowledge test under the 2026 law), and daily life, AIMA appointments, and integration are far easier with basics. Our course takes you from zero to A2.

A2 level (elementary), proven via the CIPLE exam or an approved course certificate. The 2026 Nationality Law also added a test on Portuguese culture, history, and civic rights. Our A1–A2 course teaches exclusively European Portuguese and aligns with the CIPLE exam content required for citizenship and permanent residency.

European Portuguese. Pronunciation, vocabulary, and some grammar differ significantly from Brazilian Portuguese, and the citizenship exam, AIMA interactions, and daily life in Portugal all use the European variant. Our course is built and voiced entirely in European Portuguese by native teachers.
