AIMA Launches New Online Form for Visa Extension Appointments

Portugal’s immigration and asylum agency, AIMA (Agência para a Integração, Migrações e Asilo), has introduced a new online feature designed to simplify the visa extension process for immigrant residents.

The new digital form, available at contactenos.aima.gov.pt, allows users to schedule their Visa Extension appointments quickly and efficiently, without the need for in-person visits or phone calls.

To use the service, applicants must select the new subject category titled “Visas” and upload scanned copies of both their passport and visa, which are mandatory. Additionally, depending on the type of visa, users can upload up to three extra supporting documents.

This initiative marks another step forward in AIMA's commitment to streamlining immigration services and improving accessibility for foreign residents in Portugal.
